先週、嫁のママチャリがパンクしたのて修理した。

ところが翌日になって空気が抜けていて確実で無かった事が判明。

今朝、再びチューブをリムから外し、水を張ったバケツて「ブクブク」検査をやったが、先週貼ったパッチはしっかりくっついていて問題無かった。そこで理由を考えた。

夕暮れの暗闇迫るさなかにやった作業だったので ”虫ゴムの取り付けが甘かったのかも”と勝手に思い込み、それの取付をチェックして、チューブを元に戻して作業を終わらせた。

ところが一時間後、タイヤを確認すると三分の一程空気が抜けてしまっていた。べちゃんこではない。こんなトラブルは厄介だ。

面倒だがもう一度、リムからチューブを外しブクブク検査用の空気をやや多めにいれ、もう一度空気が漏れている箇所を確認した。

そしてついに発見。それはバルブでも無く、先週パッチを当てた場所でもなく、多めに空気を入れないと漏れ出てこないようなピン・ホールだった。

２時間ほどかけてやっとパンクは直り面目を保つことができた。
