OpenOffice を使えるようにする

  1. OpenOffice のダウンロードサイトを訪れる。こちら
  2. Select your favorite operating system, language and version:で3つのドロップダウンリストボックスから Linux 64-bit(x86-64) (RPM), Japanese, 4.1.2 を選択する。
  3. Download full instration と Download language pack を夫々ローカルフォルダへダウンロードする。サイズ：前者は 148MB 後者は 18MB
  4. ダウンロードしたパッケージとサイトに掲出されている SHA256 を比較する。 
    [otousan@ol7 ~]$ find ~/ダウンロード/ -name Apache_OpenOffice_*.tar.gz -exec shasum -a 256 {} \; -exec cat {}.sha256  \;

  8. 引き続き、デスクトップ環境用のセットアップを行う。カレントディレクトリの下に desktop-integration/ というサブディレクトリがあるので移動して配下にある Red Hat 用の rpm をインストールする。

  9. 以上までの作業が終わると、デスクトップ上の「アプリケーション」→「オフィス」の下にアイコンが作成されているので、起動して最終確認を行う。

あたらしいホスト名を設定

hostnamectl set-hostname NAME

/etc/hostname に含まれるホスト名が NAME へ指定したものへ置き換えられる。/etc/hosts は個別に編集する必要がある。

上記を要約すると次の様な方法が紹介されている。記事は Xubuntu (Xfce デスクトップ環境) 向けに書かれたものであるが、MATE Desktop でも有効であることを確認した。枠の太さそのものをカスタマイズすることはできないらしい。

  • ウインドウの右上／左上のサイズ・グリップを掴む
  • Alt + right-click + drag
  • Alt + F8
